In today’s casting session, I had an actor say to me after the audition: “Thanks, I hope you’ll consider me for the job!”

I wanted to remind everyone that it’s not up to Casting Directors whether or not you book the job. It’s up to my client and their client as well.

My job as a casting director is to present the best talent choices that fit the description of what my client’s needs for their project are.

I’m doing a last minute casting tomorrow for a PSA on Hepatitis.
Looking for African-American MALE ages 45-65 that can do copy. Also Hispanic FEMALE ages 45-65 that can do copy. No accents. Non-Union but FICOR welcomed.

Shoots this Friday 7/22/11 and pays $400 for a few hours.

After a session I did last Friday, I wanted to mention that it’s better not to “crash” a casting. Ask the Casting Director if it’s alright. Make sure you’re right for it. Don’t assume it’s ok to just sign in and sneak in thinking we won’t notice. Ok?
